Right now . . .

You spend lots of time supporting others, and feel guilty taking time for yourself.

You are more distracted than usual, and finding it hard to relax and unwind.

Work is invading your personal space, and you’d like to have better boundaries.

You’ve got high standards, but it’s harder to focus and be productive in the current situation.

On top of this, you’re being super self-critical and feel you ‘ought to be coping much better’.

Just imagine . . .

Z

You feel calmer.
You're proactively managing your mindset, which enables you to support others better.

Z

You feel in control.
You're confidently taking action to get things done and feeling proud of yourself.

Z

You are more resilient.
You've got coping strategies to help you when life throws its next curve-ball.

Let me help…

Over the past ten years I’ve helped thousands of clients to manage their anxiety and low self-confidence.

Drawing on personal experience and professional insights I offer evidence-based, simple to use, and highly practical techniques that you can implement immediately.

As a natural helper, I deeply enjoy supporting and encouraging my clients. I can often see their strengths and talents that they are blind to.

I love delivering online workshops. I’ve been told that I have the skills and energy to create a trusting environment on my small-group and large-scale webinars (I recently ran one for 150 people in locations all over the UK).

The live webinar felt dynamic and the content relevant

“Jess delivered her ‘Stop Self-Sabotaging’ workshop as a live webinar for the Wiley Lean In communities in Oxford and Chichester on 10th March 2020 as a part of our International Women’s Day event series. Her content was thought-provoking and relevant; her manner of delivery was thoughtful, knowledgeable, and incredibly engaging. She made a live webinar feel dynamic, and managed to educate and entertain which can be tough when delivering an event remotely! We had over 100 attendees on the day and got a great response. We have also since shared the recording and supporting materials to help colleagues adjust in this new global working-from-home culture, which has been positively received. The Lean In Steering Group is now working to secure Jess for a follow up event, for which we are very excited. Jess is excellent to work with and I would recommend her wholeheartedly.”

Why work with me

I’m Jess Baker (MSc CPsychol AFBPsS), a Chartered Psychologist, Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, and Women’s Leadership Coach.

I have extensive experience in organisational and leadership development, personal wellbeing and resilience training, and one-one coaching.

My particular interest is in helping people to overcome self-doubt, be more courageous and develop self-compassion.

I draw on the latest psychological research and use evidence-based methods. Some of my techniques are adapted from my training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindful Self-Compassion.

My clients say they appreciate my high levels of energy and that I’m fun to work with. Although I often cover serious topics, I do have a playful spirit, drawing on my training in the performing arts and stand-up comedy.

I speak and write about themes that are close to my heart; the Inner Critic, the Imposter Syndrome, and self-sabotaging behaviours, sharing my insights in HR, women’s health magazines, national newspapers, and on BBC Radio.

In my spare time I run a free 5-day challenge, Tame Your Inner Critic, and I’m also a Trustee of BelEve UK, a charity close to my heart, that delivers leadership programmes for girls in schools, communities and online.

So if you’re still not sure if this is for you. . .

What’s really preventing you from joining us?

Is it that you find it difficult to seek help and support from other people?

Please be reassured that it’s normal to feel a whole host of negative emotions at the moment, and that you can actually do something about it. Lots of things!

Let me help you to help yourself. This 90 minute webinar (plus the 30 minute Q&A) will be packed with tips and techniques that you can apply immediately. You will also learn some techniques that will help you to better support your family.

After attending the webinar . . .

Reviews of my online workshops

So valuable!

“Jess gave an amazing online talk today to my group of qualified nutritionists about the Imposter Syndrome and managing those inner critics. Totally relatable, and useful practical tips on how to deal with them. So valuable, thank you Jess! xx.” Nicki Williams, CEO happy Hormones for Life

I’d highly recommend Jess

“Jess was recommended as expert on the theme of procrastination. We ran a live webinar for my Facebook group of 500 and the response was amazing.

Jess talks confidently and passionately, and from personal experience, about self-sabotaging and shared some thought-provoking psychological insights and some practical tips on how to overcome feeling overwhelmed and stuck, and move confidently into action.

If you’re looking for an expert to run a webinar or Facebook live to your group, I’d highly recommend Jess.”

Dylis Guyan, Director, Inspired Selling

What an incredible session!!

“Jess recently ran a live online workshop with over 100 Virtual Assistants from the VACT community on the subject of self-sabotage, and the imposter syndrome.

Feedback from attendees included: “that was an awesome session.” “Just what I needed tonight – thank you x” “What an incredible session!!! thank you so much for your time and advice! xx”

Personally, I know I wrote down some great snippets of things to think about or ways in which to approach that pesky inner critic. But Jess what I love the most, is that without knowing it you have started conversations in my communities with people talking about this more – being open and honest about how they are feeling and encouraging others to be the same.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Jess.”

Amanda Johnson, CEO Virtual Assistant Training Academy Ltd

I felt motivated, moving towards achieving my goals with a sense of joy!

“Jess was incredibly supportive and compassionate, and I felt I could really open up to her. She is worth her weight in gold; a little treasure, who encourages you to be yourself and be your best self! – we all deserve that for ourselves, and Jess has made me realise this. I feel I deserve so much more, and I can now go and get it! Thank you so much Jess. A very memorable event.” Kathryn Gray, Artist
